Gwinnett County Court Records

Gwinnett County Court records for Gwinnett County Superior, State, and Magistrate’s Courts are the responsibility of the Gwinnett County Clerk of Court. The Clerk’s office is also responsible for land and deed records, and other official records filed in Gwinnett County. They provide assistance to the general public seeking assistance with obtaining court records and open records.

Accessing Superior, State, and Magistrate’s Court Records

Gwinnett County Court records that are filed in Superior, State, and/or Magistrate’s courts are available using the Gwinnett Courts online records search portal. This portal is accessible through the following link https://odyssey.gwinnettcourts.com/Portal/.

You have two options to search the Tyler Odyssey Portal for Gwinnett County Court records, Smart Search and Search Hearings. If you want to find and view court records you will need to click the link for Smart Search. If you are looking for a specific hearing click Search Hearings. You can search the database by entering the name of the party associated with the case or by entering the case number.

When you are performing a name or case number search, you have the option to use the wildcard feature. For a wildcard name search, you need to enter a minimum of one letter of the first name and three letters of the last name followed by an asterisk. When using the wildcard feature on a case number search, you need to enter a minimum of 4 characters along with an asterisk at the end.

You have the option to specify search criteria to narrow your search results if the results are too broad. By clicking on the advanced filtering option you can specify search criteria for general options, party search criteria, and/or case search criteria. Under these options, you can input additional search criteria such as:

  • Filtering by location
  • Filtering by search type
  • Filtering by race, gender, and/or date of birth
  • Filtering by the case type, the case status, the case filing date, the judicial officer, and/or booking number.

Accessing Official and Public Open Records

To access official and public Gwinnett County Court records you will need to use the Recorder’s Court case search portal. This portal is accessible through the following link https://www.gwinnettcourts.com/casesearch/recorderscourt.aspx. If you use this portal to search for court records, you will need to provide at least 2 of the following pieces of information:

  • Case number
  • Citation number
  • Last name
  • Date of birth

Open Records Portal

The open records portal allows individuals to open an account, request open records, submit and track the progress of their request, and understand more about open records.
