Kendall County Court Records

The Kendall County Circuit Court Clerk is responsible for the upkeep of the Kendall County Circuit Court. The duties would include assisting with daily functions to the courts as needed by the circuit judges, maintaining Kendall County Court Records, and handling money paid and due to the courts. The County Clerk and the County Recorder is responsible for maintaining vital records, recording and maintaining land and deed records, and processing marriage licenses.

Kendall County Court Records Search

The public can search and access court case files by visiting the Circuit Court Clerk’s office during business hours or by going online to the following link https://www.co.kendall.il.us/offices/circuit-clerk/online-court-records.

When you perform an online search for Kendall County Court Records, you can search by party name and/or case number. After entering your search inquiry, your results will appear on the next page for records that match your search criteria.

The search results page will display the case number, the name of the party in the case, the party type, the case type, and the birth year of the party in the case. Click on the case that you are looking for to view the case overview and other details of the case.

Under the case overview, you will see the following headings:

  • Docket sheet
  • Additional info
  • Fines/fees
  • Receipts

The case view page will show the name of the party and party type, the case number, case type, the judge, courtroom location, status of the case, the amount owed on the case, and the next/last court date and time. The docket sheet will give you detailed information on actions performed on the case and the date for the actions. The additional info tab provides you with the charge and count information. This will include disposition, sentencing, and the date for disposition and sentencing. Any fines or fees paid or due will appear under the fines/fees tab. The receipt tab gives the date and the amount paid for fees on Kendall County Court records.

Requesting Copies

If you need to request copies of court records or documents, you can submit a records request in-person at the courthouse or mailing a written request. If you request copies in-person or by mail you will need to pay the clerk’s office before your request is processed.

If you mail a request, you must submit the following information:

  • Your contact information- name, address, and daytime phone number
  • The case number and other pertinent information to help the clerk locate the proper case.
  • The information that you are requesting.
  • Self-addressed stamped envelope for the copies of the court records to be mailed back to you.
