Brazoria County Court Records

The Brazoria County Courthouse is the recordkeeper for Brazoria County Court Records. These court records are available for the public to view online, in-person, or by mailing a request to the County District Clerk’s office in Angleton, TX.

Accessing Brazoria County Court Records

If you wish to access Brazoria County Court records, you can do so by using the following link https://pubweb.brazoriacountytx.gov/PublicAccess/default.aspx. This online search portal provides the public with access to case records filed in Brazoria County. Searches can be performed by using the parties name, the case number, the attorney’s name, and/or the citation number.

This portal gives you case information for criminal, civil, family, and probate cases. You can also use this portal to access information regarding jail records or to view the court calendar. There is a separate link to access the attorney portal and to locate property or vital records filed in Brazoria County.

Using the Online Brazoria County Court Records Inquiry

If you perform a search by name you have the option of searching by a party or business name. You can perform a wildcard search by entering at least 3 letters of the first and/or last name followed by the asterisk symbol. If your search results were too broad, you can narrow down your results by entering additional information to refine your search. This includes adding the following information:

  • Date of birth
  • Date filed range
  • Case status

After you have located the case that you are looking for you need to click on the hyperlink to view the Register of Actions. The Register of Actions displays all actions performed on the court case that you are looking at. The information that you will see includes the following:

  • Party information including the defendant’s attorney information
  • The date that the case was filed
  • The case number, type, and status
  • The location that the case was filed.
  • Charges, disposition, and sentencing information
  • All events and hearings that were performed on the case and the date the actions took place.

For information not found in the register of actions, you will need to contact the court where the case was filed. If you wish to obtain copies of the court documents you will need to submit a request with payment to the Clerk’s office. If you need to obtain the case number you will need to call the court and submit a $5.00 payment using the following payment methods:

  • Cash
  • Credit cards
  • Money order
  • Cashier’s check

Personal checks are not accepted as a valid form of payment. If you need to request certified copies of case records, the cost is $1.00 per page and $1.00 to certify the copies. There are public terminals located in the Brazoria County Courthouse to perform case records search if you do not have access to the internet.

Locating Court Records

Locating Fort Bend County records can be performed online, in-person, and/or by submitting a record request for the documents that you need. There are several locations throughout Fort Bend County to accommodate the public.

Fort Bend County Court Records

The main online search portal for Fort Bend County Court records is accessible through the following link http://tylerpaw.co.fort-bend.tx.us/PublicAccess/default.aspx. The portal provides online public access to a court calendar and the following types of Fort Bend County Court Records:

  • Criminal
  • Civil
  • Probate
  • Family

Using Online Portal

Using the online portal is done remotely through the public access link. You can search for court records by name, date filed, case number, business name, attorney information, and/or citation number. Depending on the search by option selected, you can include additional search criteria including:

  • Case types
  • Case status
  • Date filed beginning and ending range
  • Date of birth

The search results can be sorted by date filed, status, case number, and name of the defendant or parties in the case. When searching by name you have the option of using the wildcard feature or Soundex. The two features cannot be used together when performing a search. The wildcard feature can be used when searching by case number as long as you include 4 characters of the case number. When searching by name, you need to include 1 character for both the first and last name followed by the wildcard feature.

Once you have pulled up the search results click on the hyperlink for the case that you are looking for. This will bring you to the Register of Actions page. This page provides you with case information including case number, court location, date filed, attorney information, information on party or parties involved in the case, court events and hearings, charges, type of case, and access to documents on file.

Accessing Court Documents and Images

If you need to access images and documents click on the case number located under Register of Actions. This will pull up all the images available using the online public access portal. You will find what the document is, the page count for the image, and the date it was uploaded to the court case. Click on the hyperlink for the image or document needed and it will pull the document up. You can then print it out or save it to your device used to perform the search.

Contacting Courts for Additional Information

It is very rare that you would need to contact the courts for additional information about a court case. However, if you need a certified copy of Fort Bend County Court records or you have questions about the case, you will need to contact the County Clerk’s office.

Galveston County Court Records

If you need to access Galveston County Court records, there are several ways that this can be done. You can contact the courts, request records in-person, search online, or mail a request for records.

About Galveston County Courts

Galveston County Courts have made it simple and convenient to conduct business with the courthouse, both online and in-person. You can make payments for court cases and fines, access official, civil, and criminal records, make child support payments, pay bonds, and file court cases at the courthouse, or remotely.

The District Court of Galveston County has court locations in Galveston and League City Texas. County Court, Probate, Justice of the Peace, and Juvenile Justice, are located in Galveston close to the Galveston County Building. If you need to view Galveston County Court records for District or County Court, using the online portals is the most convenient way.

Record Retrieval

Online retrieval of Galveston County Court records is based on the type of documents you need to obtain. There are different portals that provide you with files, records, and documents for searching through official court records or County and District Court records.

Galveston County Court Records

If you are looking for civil, criminal, probate, and/ or family court records, you will need to access the District and Court Court online portal. The District and County Court provides 2 ways to access online court records.

http://publicaccess.co.galveston.tx.us/- allows you to search for civil, probate, family, and criminal court records.

https://portal.galvestoncountytx.gov/portal- Tyler Odyssey Portal allows you to search for criminal court records filed in District court. This portal only does not provide access to felony cases filed between 2003 and 2012.

Either of these portals will allow you to search by name and/or case number.

For documents and files that include all digitized land records, public postings, and foreclosures you will use the following link: https://tx4laredo.fidlar.com/txgalveston/avaweb/#!/search#%2Fhome. The AVA portal provides official Galveston County Court records, files, and documents. You are able to search this portal for free, however, if you wish to print copies of the records you will need to provide your credit card information and the courts will preauthorize $30 on your card giving you access to the files and documents in Adobe Acrobat.

To perform a search using the AVA portal you can search by name, business name, address, microfilm number, and/or document number.

If you have questions about retrieving documents or court records, you can contact either the District Court Clerk’s office or the County Court Clerk’s office. The courts in Galveston is located at 600 59th St, Galveston, TX 7755. The District Court is in Rm 4001 and the phone number is 409-766-2424; County Clerk is in Rm 2001 and their number is 409-766-2200.

The office in League City is located at 174 Calder Rd, League City, TX 77573 and the District Court Clerk’s phone number is 281-316-8729. The County Court Clerk’s office is Rm 149 and the phone number is 281-316-8732. Office hours for both locations are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
