Lake County Court Records

If you wish to access criminal, civil, traffic, and other Lake County court records, you can do so through the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller, in Lake County, FL. Through this office, you can perform online records searches, request court records, and view public records information. The online search portal is now compatible with Apple iOS devices.

Online Records Search

You can access Lake County Court records through Showcase, the online portal available through the Lake County Clerk of Circuit Court and Comptroller website. You can view a variety of case types including, Child Support, County and Circuit Civil, Felony and Misdemeanor Criminal, Traffic, Small Claims, Domestic, Probate, and more. Searches can be performed by name(including business name), date filed, citation number, case number, and court type.

You can filter your search results to narrow down the results page, replace unknown characters with the wildcard symbol, search results that sound like or start with a certain letter, view open cases only, and more. You can view information including, name(s) of the parties in the case, charges, linked cases, financial information, dockets, court events, arrests, sentencing, bonds, and images.

When viewing images or court documents there are icons that will indicate if you have to submit a records request or if the image is available immediately. If you need to submit a records request, you will be notified by email when the record is available.

Courthouse Search

Most Lake County Court Records are accessible through the online portal. However, you are able to visit the Lake County Courthouse to access the public access terminals. Some court records are available through the offsite records management storage facility located near the courthouse.

There is a form available online where you can request a public records search. This search requires a payment to be mailed or brought to the courthouse along with the completed form. Lake County Court records that are sealed or expunged are unavailable through this request. If you choose to perform a public records search through the request form, it will take 7-10 business days to receive your search results.

Official Records Search

If you wish to view official records online, you can click on the official records link accessible through the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller website. You can perform a search by name, case number, instrument number, date filed, legal description, and book/page number.

Non-public Records Search

The Records Storage Facility is open Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. excluding major holidays. This is where you can obtain non-public records in-person, or by mail. You also have the option to email a request for non-public records.

Subscription Services

There are various subscription services available for a records search. Subscription services allow you to receive additional information that is not accessible through the public access search. These subscription services charge a one-time setup fee along with an annual fee to access the information not available to the public.
