Public access to Oregon court records is available online or in-person through multiple channels. The information provided includes public information for supreme court cases, appellate cases, tax court cases, circuit court cases, county court cases, justice court cases, and municipal court cases. The Supreme court in Oregon is the highest level of legal power in the state.

Locating Records Online

If you are looking to locate Oregon court records online, you can do so through the free online access or by using the subscription service. Through the Oregon Judicial Branch online services, you can locate case information online for cases filed in any of the courts in the Oregon Judicial System.

Information Available Online

The information that is available online depends on the service that you use to access court information. You can find basic court information online and/or access court calendars. The Online Judicial System services for Oregon court records can be accessed from any web browser including Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Safari.

Oregon eCourt Case Information System(OECI)

The OECI system is a free online search portal that provides limited access to Oregon Court cases. This is a new service that is offered through the Oregon Judicial System to provide users with basic case information without the need to sign up or register for the case information network.

To search this system, you would need to enter a record number or name(last, first). The results will show you the name, date filed, case type, the status of the case, and the location the case was filed. On the search results page next to each result you will find a number of cases, warrants, and judgments for each result that is returned.

Once you click on the case result, you will find basic information regarding the case such as party name, events, and hearings, financial information, disposition of the case. You are also given an option to print the limited case information that is received.

If you wish to have further access to case information, you would need to either visit a kiosk located in circuit courts or subscribe to the Oregon Judicial Case Information Network.

Oregon Judicial Case Information Network(OJCIN)

If you wish to find more detailed Oregon Court records you can access the information through the Oregon Case Information Network. The OJCIN is a subscription-based search platform that provides you with additional case information. You can view judgment documents, the official register of actions, court information for supreme and appellate courts, state courts, trial courts, and tax courts.

This service provides everything you receive in OECI, as well as information from the 36 Circuit courts in the state of Oregon. This includes criminal, civil, small claims, traffic, tax, and domestic Oregon Court records.

Contacting Your Local Court

You can contact the local circuit court to receive court information over the phone or you can visit a local circuit court to view information from a kiosk. You can request court records by visiting a circuit court or submitting a written request to the appropriate court.

Court Information Restrictions

Court records that are protected by law are not accessible through the Oregon Judicial System online search website. Cases that would fall under this policy include adoption cases, mental health, juvenile cases, and/or cases involving the Violence Against Women Act.
