Polk County Court Records

The Polk County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller has several locations throughout Polk County, FL to assist the public. The Clerk of Court Office is responsible for filing and maintaining the Polk County Court Records for cases filed in Polk County. These court records are made available to the public through a number of various outlets.

Locating Polk County Court Records

The most convenient method of locating and accessing Polk County Court records is through the online case information system. The link for accessing public records online is https://pro.polkcountyclerk.net/PRO/PublicSearch/PublicSearch. You can use the search portal to locate records by court type, uniformed case number, citation number, party name, business name, and case filing date range. The more information that you provide, the more narrow your search results will be.

You can access the portal by using a desktop, tablet, smartphone that meets the minimum technical requirements to run the public search application. This would include having an updated operating system and the ability to run the current version of the following search browsers:

Searching the PRO System

When you perform a search on the PRO system for court records, you must provide at least the court type and either the case number or name of a party associated with the case. You can search for one or more court types to broaden your search results page. You can filter your search results page by clicking on the appropriate heading. Once you have found the court case that you are looking for, click on the details hyperlink to access the court case records.

It is not necessary to register for an account unless you are an attorney or party to a case and you are needing to access information not available to the general public. If you decide to register for an account, it takes at least one business day to receive access.

Obtaining Copies of Images and Documents

The public has access to print uncertified copies of images and documents that are available in the PRO system. The documents or images that are available to the public are indicated with a green circle in the case dockets section. If a record needs to be reviewed, you will see a yellow triangle. If you see a blue triangle it means that a manual review needs to be completed or is pending before the document or image is available to be viewed.

If you need to obtain certified copies of Polk County Court records, you would need to contact the clerk of court’s office. This can be done by phone, in-person, by mail, and/or by email.
